2026-2027 Academy Policies
By registering for any Academy program, families agree to abide by all Academy policies outlined below.
Our Academy policies are designed to support a positive, structured, and high-quality learning environment for all students. Please review the following guidelines carefully, as they outline expectations for participation in all programs.
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance is essential to student growth and the success of all classes and productions.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and rehearsals. All absences must be reported through the Academy app prior to the scheduled class or rehearsal.
Excessive absences may result in:
- Removal from a production
- Reassignment of roles or responsibilities
- Ineligibility for certain performance opportunities
Rehearsal & Performance Commitment
Participation in productions requires a strong commitment to the rehearsal process.
- Students and families should:
- Prioritize scheduled rehearsals and performances
- Communicate any conflicts in advance
- Be available for all required rehearsals leading up to performances, including technical rehearsals
Failure to meet these expectations may impact casting and participation.
Communication Policy
The Academy communicates primarily through its app and email.
Families are responsible for:
- Keeping contact information up to date
- Regularly checking the app and email for announcements, schedules, and updates
The Academy is not responsible for missed information due to outdated contact details or failure to review communications.
Tuition Policy
Tuition is billed on a monthly basis unless paid in full at the time of registration.
Failure to remain current on tuition payments may result in removal from classes or programs.
Tuition reserves a student's place in the Academy and reflects the cost of year-round instruction, faculty, and programming. Tuition is calculated over the entire academic year and divided into equal monthly payments from August through May. Monthly tuition is not prorated based on the number of class meetings in a particular month, including months affected by attendance, holidays or scheduled Academy breaks.
Production Fee Policy
Production fees are separate from tuition and are required for participation in performances. Due dates will be the first day of classes in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Production fees are non-refundable and help cover costs including costumes, sets, props, licensing, and technical production.
Refund & Withdrawal Policy
Refund policies vary by program. Families should review program-specific policies at the time of registration.
To withdraw from a class or program, families must notify the Academy in writing.
Summer Camps
Families may cancel their summer camp enrollment up to 30 days before the camp start date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the camp start date will receive a 50% tuition refund. Once camp has begun, no refunds will be issued for withdrawals.
Homeschool and Open Enrollment
Our Homeschool and Open Enrollment classes are intended as a full academic-year commitment. Families are responsible for at least one semester of tuition, regardless of the withdrawal date, though exceptions may be considered in the event of unforeseen family hardships or emergencies. To withdraw from the program, families must provide 30 days’ written notice. Tuition is non-refundable and will not be prorated for missed classes, rehearsals, performances, or partial months of attendance.
Musical Theatre Companies
Enrollment in a Musical Theatre Company is intended as a full-season commitment. However, we understand that circumstances can change during the year. Families may withdraw from the program with 30 days written notice. Tuition is not prorated for missed classes, rehearsals, performances, or partial months of participation, and previously paid tuition is non-refundable.
Placement & Casting Policy
Company placement and casting decisions are made at the sole discretion of Academy faculty and staff.
Decisions are based on multiple factors, including:
- Skill level
- Growth potential
- Ensemble balance
- The specific needs of a production
All placement and casting decisions are final.
Behavior Expectations
Students are expected to demonstrate respectful and professional behavior at all times.
This includes:
- Respect for instructors, staff, and fellow students
- Focus and participation during classes and rehearsals
- Adherence to Academy guidelines and expectations
The Academy reserves the right to remove any student whose behavior disrupts the learning environment.
Dress Code
Students are expected to follow the dress code appropriate to their program.
- Company students must adhere to the company dress code as outlined in the parent portal
- Open enrollment students should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and closed-toe shoes
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
Students must be signed in and out through the Academy’s attendance system.
- Parents or guardians must walk students into the building and complete check-in at the front desk kiosk
- Parents must enter the building for pick-up unless a “walker” waiver is on file
- Students arriving more than 10 minutes late must be escorted inside and checked in
Students are considered under Academy supervision only after they have been checked in.
