about

THE RUTH ACADEMY

Our Mission

At The Ruth Academy, we help students of all ages recognize the power of their own story and give them the tools to tell it with confidence, clarity, and artistry.

Train in a Professional Theatre

The Ruth Academy is housed within The Ruth Theater, a state-of-the-art performing arts venue.

Students don’t just take classes—they train in a real working theatre, gaining hands-on experience in the same spaces used for professional productions.

What We Offer

We provide high-level training in:

  • Musical Theater
  • Acting
  • Dance
  • Stage Combat
  • & more

Students can participate through private lessons, group classes, Musical Theatre and Acting Companies, and immersive camps and intensives.

In addition, students have the opportunity to audition for our Youth Stage productions. These fully staged shows are cast separately from classes, offering a more focused and selective performance experience. While not all students will be cast, every student is supported in preparing for and navigating the audition process.

Our Approach

We believe students learn best by doing.

Our programs focus on building strong technique in a structured, supportive environment. Students are challenged at the right level and encouraged to grow with consistency, discipline, and confidence—whether in the classroom or preparing for auditions and performance opportunities.

Learn from Working Professionals

Our faculty are experienced, working artists who bring real-world knowledge into every class and rehearsal. Students learn not only technique, but also the discipline, collaboration, and professionalism expected in the performing arts.

More Than Performance

Students at The Ruth Academy build more than stage skills. They develop:

  • Confidence
  • Discipline
  • Creativity
  • Collaboration

These are tools that serve them both on stage and beyond.

A Place to Grow

Whether just beginning or continuing their journey, every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow—building confidence, discovering their voice, and becoming the artist they’re meant to be.
